We've had a great time concluding our stay on the East Coast. The past several weeks have been packed with date nights with friends, travel to beautiful places, an Elder's Quorum party in the most beautiful countryside of Pennsylvania you can imagine, Six Flags, So You Think You Can Dance parties, and more!
Last night, an incredible family in the ward threw a "Going Away" party for two families moving out of the ward and one family going on a mission to China. We feel honored to have associated with such incredible people for the last 15 months. Being members of the church outside of Utah has been a huge blessing to Catherine and me. The essence of a "ward family" is stronger - from traveling 30 minutes with the young men to another part of the ward to help a Sister with her landscaping to chopping trees for a Brother with a bad back, the sacrifice seems so much greater. Greater sacrifice yields greater love and appreciation for the people you serve yields greater endearment and relationships. We have worked in the midst of noble and great ones, and I consider myself incredibly blessed to have been a part of their lives.
Little soap box there. Returning to the subject at hand, there's not a lot left to do here in Pennsylvania. Catherine and I will be celebrating our 2 year Anniversary tomorrow. Cat took Tuesday off for good measure and will finish her job on Friday. Just a few loose ends to pack up, an army of brethren from the Elders Quorum to pack up the truck in record time, and one last "Going Away" party with some of our dearest friends.
Then it's on the road to Palmyra, Niagara, Kirtland, Chicago, Nauvoo, Des Moines, Cheyenne (Maybe), and Salt Lake City!!! Check out our route!
2500 miles of adventure! If any of all y'all have any recommendations about things we should see, little dives we should visit for a bite, or anything in between, let us know. This will be the first time (but assuredly not the last) we make the trek across the country and we will appreciate any input we can get! Love you guys!!!

So I checked out your route and realize you would only add 1500 miles if you made a stop here in Houston! You have to agree that our family is a must see. Either way, enjoy the journey.

If you stop in Winter Quarters, there's the nicest couple from our ward on a mission at the visitors center (Terry and Kris Chipman).
